Out two churches merged in 1990, and therefore the women of the two churches joined forces to become one group of ladies working together for the good of the church. We meet once a month on the second Wednesday of each month for a meeting, devotions, prayer and Bible study. We support the missions of each denomination. Throughout the year, we serve funeral lunches and in October we have a bazaar and bake sale as a fundraiser. We serve the area Hospice Recognition Luncheon in November. Also, we host the Area I Spring Gathering of Presbyterian Women when our turn comes. We have a Quilt Committee which gathers at the church on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month for quilting and fellowship. We assist with bingo and refreshments at Pender Care Centre several times a year. In April we gather at the church in the morning to do some spring cleaning and enjoy the fellowship with a pot-luck dinner. Our December meeting is a pot-luck dinner at noon with two ladies hosting and we invite our spouses or bring a friend to celebrate the Christmas season with us. This year, 2010, we have been together for 20 years.
