Happy 125th to Pender and all its inhabitants!!
The Otteman Family is ecstatic that we are going to be able to enjoy the conclusion of the hometown anniversary celebration with Penderites this weekend. Some 60-plus of us are descending on Pender for our every-other-year Family Reunion. We decided to hold it back in Pender, ground zero for the children of Carl and Hannah Otteman, at the suggestion of Mylet McGath Otteman, the only original sister of 13 boys and girls, who still lives in Pender. We will see and experience a lot of places that left very, very fond memories over the next few days. For those of you who might remember them, Dick, Mylet, Dorothy, Bev, JoAnn and Merlin are still alive and well and will love to catch up with folks during the celebrations! Best, Scott Otteman (son of Merlin)
Greetings from the Diehls! Great website! Can't wait to see everyone (later this week) at the Q-125!

You have done a great job with your website. I enjoy finding out about things going on in Pender. It is really great for those of us like me who are some distance away (ie., Arizona).

I was the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Pender High School from 1968-1973. I now live in Reno Nevada and am working at the Fallon Naval Air Station in Fallon Nevada. My wife Marjie and I have fond memories of Pender. We had some great friends, the student were the best and my ball players worked their tails off. Go Big Red--Coach O.

Where i was a little girl (60's) i use to spend every summer in Pender with my aunt Emma she lived across from the sale barn. I remember the popcorn stand up-town that was a treat for me. I truly loved my summers there.

Is it possible to obtain copies of obituaries which have appeared in the Pender Times in previous years?
Editor's note: Yes. The easiest way is to call us at 402-385-3013. They will have to be photocopies, however, as we recycle extra newspaper every 12 months.

Good morning everyone. Was good to find you online again. Our son Kevin lives in Pender and he doesn't always remember to tell us who has died. We are looking forward to the 125yr celebration.
