The Pender High School one act play cast performed for students and teachers on Wednesday, Nov. 22 and with a public performance on Monday.
The play, “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland,” was written by Lewis Carroll and adapted for the stage by PHS one act director Emily Cameron.
A cutting of the book Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, “It is a fun play with larger than life characters”, according to Cameron.
The cast includes a few new faces this year with many returning ones as well.
Receiving honors for their performances at the East Husker Conference contest were outstanding actor Brandon Dorsey as the Mad Hatter, Madalyn Meyer with outstanding actress as Dormouse, and outstanding actress Kaitlyn Schumacher as the Queen of Hearts.
The cast wrapped up performances on Tuesday at their district competition in Newcastle.
