Mei Huang, 33
Mei (Sue) Huang, 33, of South Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, Sept 6, 2017, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be at Kwan Ying Buddhist Temple in Los Angeles, Calif., on Friday, Sept. 22. Following at Universal Chung Wah Funeral Home in Alhambra, Calif., on Saturday Sept. 23. Locally, there will be a memorial on Oct. 1 from 4-5 p.m. at the gym in Augustana Lutheran Church at 600 Court St., Sioux City, Iowa. Enter the door on the east side of the building.
Mei (Sue) Huang was born on March 6, 1984, in Guangdong, China, to Ruxiong Huang and Ming Juian Wu. She attended and graduated school in China. She was an outstanding student and a social butterfly. Mei (Sue) was a very respectful, loving daughter and big sister. When Mei was 22 years old, she moved to the United States where she lived in Colorado, Wyoming, and Nebraska. She worked as a waitress at restaurants. During this time she had two amazing children. In 2014, Mei moved to South Sioux City to take over the restaurant Panda Palace. Panda Palace became much more than just her business, her customers she treated as if they were her friends.
Mei loved to take her kids to play and to try new things. She also loved to entertain and cook for friends at her home. She was the rock for her family and an amazing friend.
Survivors include her children, Maddie and Noah Chen of South Sioux City; parents, Ruxiong Huang and Ming Juian Wu of California; siblings, Daisy and Cai Huang of California; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many more.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Siouxland Federal Credit Union under Benefit Account: Maddie and Noah.
